The School of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine is currently accepting applications for the position of Associate Dean, Student Affairs. The Associate Dean of Student Affairs provides leadership and oversight for the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) under the direction of the Vice Dean for the School of Medicine. Baylor's OSA supports our students throughout their accelerated and innovative foundational curriculum and exceptionally diverse clinical training opportunities. The emphasis on integrated academic support programs, specialty mentorship, Learning Community initiatives, and the unique narrative medicine and service-learning course underscores Baylor's commitment to providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.


The Baylor College of Medicine School of Medicine (BCM SOM) has an expanding enrollment that’s on par to reach 900 students by 2026, including MD/MPH, MD/JD, MD/PhD, MD/MS, and MD/MBA dual degree programs. The BCM SOM is extending its reach and impact across different communities, with the introduction of our new regional campus in Temple Texas. This expansion is made possible through strong relationships with health system partners in the region, highlighting the importance of collaboration in advancing medical education and healthcare delivery. BCM SOM sponsors 108 residency and fellowship programs accredited by the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education (30 ACGME Residency Programs, 78 ACGME Fellowship Programs) and 74 Texas Medical Board-approved fellowship programs, in addition to approximately 1600 active GME residents and fellows.


  • M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience with undergraduate or graduate medical education leadership at an LCME-accredited US medical school
  •  M.D or D.O. with board certification in their specialty
  •  Five or more years of experience in medical education, including accreditation oversight
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness in leadership and possess the ability to work with a varied group of educators and stakeholders
  • Previous experience in undergraduate or graduate medical education leadership with an emphasis in such areas as quality improvement, teamwork, and maintaining excellence in the learning environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills including the ability to lead and work on a team
